Sapan Shah

Sapan was part of the NetIP LA-OC Board in 2009 as the Recreational Activities Chair for Orange County and then became the LA Events Director. He is really excited about his new role as the 2010 President of the NetIP LA-OC chapter. His vision is to use NetIP as a platform to create a strong professional and social network among Indian Professionals in LA-OC area. For 2010 his goals is to raise $15,000 for various charities and coordinate at least 150 hours of community service events. Sapan graduated from Georgia Tech (Go Jackets!) with a degree in Aerospace Engineering and currently works for Honeywell as an Aerospace Engineer in Torrance, CA.

Vipul has been involved with social organizations both locally and globally that work towards a common goal that benefit people at large. While at NetIP LA-OC he would like NetIP become more mainstream and popular by reaching out to different groups/individuals that might be unaware of its functioning. Vipul has a MBA and is a Research Director for a Biotechnology firm.

Reshma was born in South America and raised in New York and Los Angeles. She is a law school graduate and experienced human resources and client relationship manager, who enjoys art, history, culture and politics. Her goal this year, as the Membership Director and Professional Events Chair of Net IP LA-OC, is to expand our paid membership base by 50% and to introduce new members from Los Angeles, Orange and Riverside counties, to our vast professional and social networks by helping to host NetIP events at venues that are more central to the tri-county area. She also hopes to organize several informative professional development events throughout 2010.

Manshi Kothari received her MBA in Finance and Marketing from one of the top universities in Southern California and currently works as an Analyst for a top health insurance company.
She served as the President of Indian Club in her school and assumed various managerial roles in different organizations in USA as well as abroad. She loves reading, cooking & volunteering. She attributes her energetic & ever enthusiastic attitude to Yoga & Meditation, which she practices regularly. Manshi’s vision is to bring more people from different walks of life towards a common humanly goal of making a positive impact in the lives of many in need. To that end, she is currently actively working towards creating collaboration between NetIP and similar South Asian organizations in the greater Los Angeles area.

Shefalika was born & raised in India, and completed her masters in Mathematics and now works as a lead statistical programmer analyst for a bio-tech company. She loves to paint, listen to music, read & travel & has traveled to15 US states so far. She loves southern california the most, for it's sunny & vibrant feel. She is proud to be an Indian & to be a part of the richest culture of the world. She believes in the saying “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” She has been associated with numerous philanthropic voluntary tasks, thus excited to join NetIP as a Chair of Community Service, to serve the LA-OC Community by bringing more visibility to Indian culture & NetIP LA-OC.

Divya is vibrant person bursting with ideas. She believes everyone needs a outlet and firmly believes that everyone needs a creative vent. She also believes that there is a scientist, spiritualist and artist in all of us, unfortunately we don’t have too many avenues in our busy lives. She would like to try to open some avenues for the members by organizing diverse outdoor interests. Divya works as a in-House Legal counsel for a Oral care products company and has a LLM from North western University.

Neel Sodha has been a SoCal resident for most of his life. He grew up in Anaheim and moved to Los Angeles in 2007. So, he has the best mix and knowledge of the "it" places in Orange County and Los Angeles. Neel has been running a social meetup group specializing in events in downtown Los Angeles over the last two years. Neel's events will be the non-traditional adventures to get people to discover the "hidden treasures" of Los Angeles, while meeting people who have the same interests. He looks forward to bring his enthusiasm and passion for putting on great events for NetIP in the upcoming year!

Sherry was born and raised in Los Angeles. She attended Pharmacy School in Southern California and currently works as a Clinical Pharmacist in a local community hospital. She enjoys the art of cooking, yoga, reading, and traveling. She hopes to apply her passion of learning new ideas and skills to her role as L.A. Events Director, and to add creativity to the organization's events. Additionally, her goal is to help the NetIP LA-OC chapter collaborate more extensively with other South Asian organizations.
